Aoi is fine with this. Ready, accepting. Except what he doesn't count on is his instincts - they kick in and he strikes at the hand holding the dagger, trying to parry it away.
It was what he was prepared for, his off hand pulling the smaller less deadly blade and slashing up with it.
"What was it you claimed to be? A moneylender?" He doesn't know the word stockbroker in any meaningful way, but close enough- not someone who can parry blades so easily.
The fact it wasn't only his day job didn't make it any less true. He grabs the dagger as it drops and slices towards Hubert, but he also didn't manage to evade the second knife. It's struck his side.
He gasps in shock, but his training is tuned to instinct levels, so even while his brain is processing what just happened... his hands move and slide the blade home.
