Santa's tried to make something pretty decent but it's hard when all you have is shit from fast food places. Still, if you know your hacks, McCrepes are totally possible. So, there's a bunch of those on the conference table this time, accompanied by coffee. ]

Let's do this shit, huh? No squabbling this time, we did enough of that the last go around.

I can't divulge on that shit without revealing who gave it to me. And that's not the fucking point here. The point is that someone is this desperate and it's going to get worse once people figure it out.

[She frowns very hard.]

Yes, it will get worse once people figure out that someone made a weapon. I'll take you at your word for the time being that this person was doing it for self defense - or even just without the intention of harming us - but I don't like being the first to escalate the inventory to that level any more than you guys liked being the first people to openly talk about who got left out in the cold by the votes. There's a risk, even just carrying them hidden. There could be a strip poker challenge. I won't call any of you out if you start holding these things, but leave me out of it.

I'm not talking about necessarily holding weapons. I'm talking about learning hand to hand, for one. There's ways to know how to defend with your body without holding a foreign object.

Okay, fair. You'll remember that before I was pretty behind that. But isn't that pretty sharp? Aren't our abilities to defend from that with hand-to-hand gonna be kind of limited?

Not really. Someone comes at you with a knife, you block with your non dominant arm. It's a lesser of two evils sacrifice.

Assuming they're surprised, you grab their wrist with your dominant hand and pull them off balance. You worry about the knife later.

Okay, here's my next question. Are you prepared to stab someone with that thing of yours? That could be really serious in our situation. Poor Rosa is injured and isn't getting real treatment...

How the hell did she get injured, anyway? I'm going to have to be prepared if something happens, aren't I? [ that's not actually an answer ]

It's a good idea, but that's easy for a man to say, some of us wouldn't have the strength to manage it. You have to play dirty in a fight like that, go for their eyes or groin, kick them in the stomach. Your surroundings are important too.

That's why I'm saying we should help each other learn. I barely know anything.

Lotus and Eva will definitely be assets for that. But I do think weapons are important even if you're not carrying one. You should take a good look around each room sometime to get an idea of what could be useful in each one, if you were to be attacked there.

Luckily at least for now we have plenty of people, so someone will probably always be more or less nearby and would hear any shouts. So chances are low you'll need it.

Of course, the problem comes if I have to take off my shirt for some reason. Lotus had a good point with that.
