[ Aoi had asked Akane to help him prepare breakfast for the group meeting. Sometime during the setup, he grabs her arm gently and tries to lead her off to his dressing room instead of the scifi set. Will she let him do so or object? He has a very serious look on his face, but he says nothing to explain himself. ]

Oh, loads happened. Shit won't stop happening. Your brother's kind of mixed up in an emotional mess, Akane, but he doesn't care to get himself out.

[ He smiles at her attempt at a joke, but continues. ]

What I'm saying is the three of us are kind of... involved. As complicated as that is.

[ He offers her a bright grin. The kind she probably hasn't seen from him for a very long time. ]

[Not for a while, no, and it's nice enough to see that she stands, goes over to him, and hugs him.]

I guess it's really not that different than just dating someone and not exclusively them, right?

[ He hugs her back. ]

I'm not gonna be dating anyone else, but I guess not, yeah.

But it's got Niles freaking out about our safety, hence... making me promise to carry this thing.

Is there any reason he's so worried, though?

He's got this idea he's going to die sooner rather than later and then he can't protect us.

[ Santa shrugs and looks kind of pissed off. ]

[ Santa does another shrug and looks guilty because he's not sure he should expand on this. ]

But there aren't many people here who know about it, right? So why should it affect him? Unless, of course, it's something like he's been cursed.
