newlydead r2 - day 11 - 3 999s and 3 ushiromiyas

[ Santa drags them all into the scifi set, the usual placement for meetings. It's empty due to everyone else wandering around the more common areas while playing the truth serum game. He stands by the door, keeping a lookout for any passerbyers, glancing between inside and out frequently. ]

Alright. We've got a few matters of business to handle here. Is everyone fucking ready?

Why add more people? Keeping this many people in line didn't even work.

I don't really see the difference, but whatever. Who are you proposing, Corrin? Belly button guy?

Rhys actually just approached me about whether we could be allies. Considering he won last time, he might be useful.

I thought as much - he seems reliable, but you never know. I'll be sure to ask plenty of leading questions while the truth serum is in effect.

I need to talk with him more to have a better sense of him, really. He certainly seems capable from a self-defense standpoint, at least, and I would trust your judgement.

Sure, we might as well. Everyone try to get a good conversation in with anyone who's proposed here?
exequte: (oh gosh why don't you believe me?)

Do we really want to add anyone? It could be useful having more people, yes, but at the same time things are only going to gt harder going forward, not easier. More people means it's more likely someone s going to betray us, if no one volunteers to go and there can only be one in the end....
exequte: (well first I had to get some cash)

[personal profile] exequte 2017-05-27 04:07 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not saying we're not, but just keep in mind that only five people can ultimately stay in the game until the very end. I'm not sure how many people are going to volunteer to go to the hotel, if anyone is - everyone who got this far is here for a reason, and it's that they don't want to leave. And if our alliance is in the last group, what then?
exequte: (you act like that was the wrong choice)

[personal profile] exequte 2017-05-27 04:27 pm (UTC)(link)
That's true, but why will adding more people make it better, if that's the case?

All right, just keep in mind that while it does bring advantages, it increases the risk as well.

Do we really need any one particular person?

[personal profile] meatitfeedson 2017-05-27 06:30 am (UTC)(link)
We're a much smaller group and can better talk between us to figure things out together, though. Not that I don't trust you, but a single leader can be a big risk, in a lot of ways.

[personal profile] meatitfeedson 2017-05-27 06:50 am (UTC)(link)
Hypothetically someone could take advantage of that power, or someone else could take advantage of them, or blame problems on them. Not to mention power struggles if anyone else decides they should be the one in charge.

And making any tough decisions shouldn't rest on one person's shoulders. That will inevitably become their fault.

That part at least is probably easiest to have one person in charge of, youre right. If you want to, I have no objections there, or if you don't want the trouble, I don't mind doing it either.
