[ So there they are, Santa's dressing room. It's a fucking M E S S. The chair's shoved in a corner and there's piles of clothing all over the floor. One of the piles is stomped down like someone's been using it to nap on. That someone being Santa. There's a big dent in the wall, too. ]

...please don't judge over this, I didn't care about how it looked when I left.

[ He looks down at the clothes and then looks back at her. ]

I can either make you a really comfy pile to lay on or drag that chair into a proper position for you, what would you rather?

No, since I was travelling when I got here I was prepared for living out of a suitcase. Mine's nice and organised. But your room is your room, it's not my business!

And I'll gladly take the comfy pile.

[ Santa leans over and gathers all the clothing into a huge comfy pile and pats it down for her. ]

[She gingerly sets herself down and leans back, curling up and closing her eyes. Maybe if it's just the two of them and no cameras or onlookers, she can take a few moments of weakness and just accept that she's in pain.]

[ He props himself on the chair, looking awkwardly at the dent on the wall. He doesn't want to stare at her, especially while she's in pain. ]

...what WAS I saying?

Something about other things wanting to die could indicate?

Yeah. Depression and suicidal ideations are symptoms, not necessarily diagnoses themselves. You have clinical depression but you also have bipolar and borderline and all this other stuff that things could possibly be.

Ah, right, that's fair. It isn't something that really gets talked about in my time, so I'm afraid I don't know much about it really.

I don't know if I have anything. [ He swings his feet. ] I just know how I act, you know? I know how me is, being me.

Yeah. And you're the best you no matter what's wrong with you. A mom just has to worry, you know?

[ He smiles in her direction. ]

Didn't know until recently, though.

You should have, you were practically a mom yourself!

[ He laughs and smiles a little wider. ]

I guess so, huh?

Welcome to the club, we're down a couple members so it'll be nice to be a quartet again.

[ He laughs and gets up so he can plop down on the ground beside her instead. He leans close to give her a hug. ]

[Why is he so good to her... She gladly returns it, holding him close and tight.]

Okay, your turn while I think of another rude thing to ask you.

[But she scooches over so he can maybe sit on the pile with her?]

[ He does sit on the pile with her and keeps his arms around her for an extended hug. ]

How hard should I go with these questions?

You should know by now, I'll do anything for the points, and more difficult is better. Be absolutely ruthless if you can.

[ Frowns, thinking. ]

What would you do if your husband betrayed you?

[meatitfeedson]

[Wow, yeah, he went hard.]

...He already does. He cheats and always has, and I never say a thing, just quietly get rid of those women... It would probably be the same no matter what kind of betrayal it was, maybe I would only love him more for it.

[jinglebros]

[ He tilts his head and grinds his teeth a bit as he tries not to shout about how much her husband sucks. ]

How do you get rid of them?

[meatitfeedson]

[No he's great?? They have a totally healthy relationship. Do not question it.]

That depends how stubborn they are. Usually it's enough if an associate pays them a visit, or if I pay them off.

And if that's not enough?

[ He's not sure he wants to hear this. He's asking anyway. ]

[She's not sure he wants to hear it either. But go hard, huh?]

Then they disappear.
