[ Here's Santa. Here's Santa going to the prop room. He's unsteady on his feet because he's had a few drinks to steel his nerves and dull his senses. He doesn't want to be ready for what's coming, he doesn't want to be able to react to it. He wanders in and pretends to be looking for something, humming a quiet lullaby to himself, idly chewing on his lip as he does so. ]

[The back of the prop room seems even more crowded and tunnel-like today. The lights in one of the back rows flickers erratically, giving a low whine as Santa walks further down the stacks. There's something to catch the eye there, something shiny on one of the lower shelves; perhaps Santa ducks to look at it, perhaps he doesn't, either way, the moment the light flickers off again, something comes swinging quick at the back of his head--a baseball bat]

[ He'd been getting pretty creeped out by the lights, it hadn't helped with his already existing sense of foreboding and awareness that something was about to happen. He hadn't ducked to look at the something shiny but it did catch his eye - and while he was distracted, here comes the baseball bat. H O L Y S H I T that wasn't supposed to happen! He bites down hard on his lip as the bat connects, enough to split it and he falls forward onto the floor, landing roughly on his hands and knees. ]

[Shit! Okay, maybe someone should've read up more on knocking people out instead of just depending on action movies for reference. The assailant--dressed in all black, including sunglasses, leather gloves, a balaclava, and absolutely 0 vests--grunts and brings the bat down again, this time more towards Santa's left side]

[ WELL HOW IS THAT SUPPOSED TO KNOCK HIM OUT?! What that does is break his fucking arm and yeah that's a hell of a lot of pain and holy shit holy shit this is not the fucking plan . He's starting to doubt this is Junpei actually and he tries to roll over to see who it is but that just puts pressure on his now broken arm and BLINDING PAIN like a motherfucker?! YEAH NOW VISION IS GETTING BLURRY, REAL CLOSE TO PASSING OUT ]

[Takes in a quick breath, then kneels down, pressing into Santa's back to keep him flat against the floor. Then he drops the bat and swaps it out for some sort of thin blade--part of a scissors, perhaps?--and hovers for a beat before shoving it quick into Santa's shoulder.

Fun fact, human flesh puts up more resistance to a blade than one might think based off of say, Gears of War]

[ That hurts even more than the arm. That hurts a fuckton more than the arm. But he's already passing out, so he can really only recognize 'pain is happening to me' on a certain level. The ensuing short scream is on another level. Both levels are slipping away from Santa himself and soon enough everything is just black. . .

. . . ]

[The blade is removed with an utterly distressing sound; the bat retrieved, and the light finally flickers back to life. With a last tight breath, Junpei ducks down another aisle and makes himself scarce.]

[ What he leaves behind is a crumpled and unconscious Santa and a very small but steadily growing pool of blood. ]
