[ As soon as the Spades meeting for the day is over, Aoi pulls Ene aside quietly. ]

Hey, can we go to my dressing room and talk? [ He asks quietly, shuffling from foot to foot and disappearing a bit into his oversized sweater. he's obviously nervous about whatever this is. ] I want to explain myself better, and I've got a favor to ask.

[IMMEDIATELY SUSPICIOUS, but she smiles] Oh? Sure, lead the way.

[ He nods and leads the way to his dressing room, closing the door when they get there. There's not much notable about it, except the massive amount of clothes and the massive amount of holes on one of the walls at foot level. ]

I just feel like explaining myself about the board but it's too heavy to dump this shit on everyone else.

[Ohhh Santa. Finding a chair to lounge in.] What's too heavy?

[ He leans against the wall and looks at her. ]

I thought I was making a board to save people, but I guess I was making one to try to make people pay if something like Akane happened again. And the second someone made me realize that I wanted to put a stop to it.

[digiteyesed]

[Aaah, so that's why he said it like that.] When we first met, you told me you'd already learned from the mistakes of the last round, didn't you?

[ He stares down at his shoes. ]

I wish I wasn't.

[digiteyesed]

[Gets up and pulls on his cheek] What's that? Ah? You think you can just magically change because you want to? Don't be ridiculous! Of course it's going to be hard, and of course you're going to take some steps back. That's what learning is. You have an idea of what you want to be like, and you missed it. But when you noticed, you wanted to correct it, right?

[ He stops complaining about the cheek pull and listens. ]

Yeah, I did. I did!

[digiteyesed]

[Letting go so she can GESTURE DRAMATICALLY] You did! You've still got some work to do, but you're trying, and you've got people around to support you through it. So keep working harder!

I will keep working harder! [ He's bolstered by her encouragement now, and it shows. This team thing really is helping this time around. He pauses, and then adds a little quieter: ] Thank you.

[ One more request left, but he's hesitant for that one. ]

Yeah, yeah, you're welcome. Make sure you don't go getting complacent, or discouraged because you're not as far along as you want to be. Otherwise I'll be right there to pinch you again!
